This particular wedding was different than most. First of all, it was in Arizona... yes!!! I couldn't imagine a better way to start my wedding season! The weather was perfect! Next, Jennifer was a very, very dear friend of my mom's. They met before I was born at my dad's high school reunion in Globe, Arizona. They hit it off right away and bonded over so much throughout the years. Even though we ended up moving to Kansas, Nevada, and California, we always had our Arizona family with Jennifer and her kids. My little family now travels down there every year to visit. When Jennifer told me JD (after 13 years) finally popped the question and wanted me to photograph their wedding I was beyond excited! I asked Jennifer if they had picked out a date; April 6, 2019. I gasped. That was my mother's birthday who has been gone for 3 years now. So I spent my mother's birthday celebrating with one of her very best friends on her special day. It was heartwarming and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
