Rain was in the forecast all day for Rachel and Hyland's wedding at 7th Canyon Ranch, but if you had asked them, I don't think they would have changed a thing.

One of the things I appreciated most about this couple was how calm they remained throughout the day. There was no stressing over the weather or scrambling to move everything indoors. They had envisioned an outdoor ceremony and wanted to stick with it, trusting the day would unfold exactly as it was meant to.

And it did.

The rain stopped just in time for their ceremony and portraits, giving us beautiful soft light and fresh, vibrant scenery that photographers dream about. While guests enjoyed dinner, another shower rolled through, and by the time everyone finished eating, the skies had cleared once again for a calm evening filled with laughter, dancing, and celebration.

Moments like these are a reminder that a wedding isn't defined by perfect weather. It's defined by the people, the emotion, and the memories made together.

7th Canyon Ranch was the perfect backdrop, as always. The open Nevada landscape, rustic charm, and peaceful setting looked absolutely stunning with the dramatic skies after the rain. The changing weather only added to the romance and made the day feel even more memorable.

As a photographer, I always encourage my couples to stay present and focus on each other rather than the things they can't control. Rachel and Hyland did exactly that, and I truly believe their relaxed attitude set the tone for the entire day. Everyone embraced the weather, enjoyed the celebration, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
