Spooky Halloween with Makeup by Teddi

Spooooky Halloween in Lamoille Canyon

Well, if you haven't guessed yet, Teddi and I enjoy working together! We first met years ago during one of my boudoir marathons I run every year. Over the course of time I lost my main makeup artist (you know, getting married, moving away, starting a family - that sort of thing). So, I was on the hunt for a new makeup artist... and there she was! We clicked right away and I love having her on my team for these fun creative shoots! She has the same values when it comes to treating our clients and cares about the experience she gives them! We've grown even closer and our kids love playing together!

So, here we are in 2020. You'd think our businesses would have slowed down, but they haven't! We've talked about doing these fun creative shoots for years and well, this was the year! Just this summer we did some incredible creative stylized shoots at the Mustang Monument! If you haven't seen them, you're missing out!

If our fall isn't busy enough with kids, homeschooling, our businesses, and trying to stay alive... we threw in a few more creative shoots for Halloween! Teddi's Halloween makeup is incredible! She was crazy busy this year, but still managed to take some time for my vision!

Our first shoot was with Morgan. Ever since Lamoille Canyon was destroyed by the fires, I imagined using the dead trees in a darker shoot. Morgan is always up for fun stuff and traveled all the way from Utah just to get a crazy skeleton on (I totally forgot to tell her we were doing a skeleton, she didn't even know what was going on hahaha - that's how awesome she is and how much she trusts us!). So we went up the canyon after Teddi worked her magic on Morgan and herself! My original vision included smoke bombs.. but we were still in the middle of fire season so my law abiding citizen self did away with those and let the makeup be the focus!

Our next shoot wasn't as planned. Teddi found this makeup inspiration, I was on Facebook and saw this incredible DIY crown, and we found the clothes at the thrift store! SCORE! My niece, Natalie, was and always is an incredible model! She rocked this gorgeous session!

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! Enjoy these epic portraits!
